How to Look Fabulous For Less

Every fashionista I know is on a budget with the economy and financial hardships facing everyone this year. Still wanting to look your best is tough but not impossible. Learning to work with what you have, accessorize and shop for deals is all you need! The first thing you need to learn is how to be a fashionista in a recession environment. Confidence is the best thing you can slip into along with a great slimming A lined skirt, a good pair of pumps and a killer smile. Here are some tips to looking great without spending all your dough.

All women should have the basics of a good wardrobe in their closet. The basics include: black and khaki dress pants, an A lined black skirt, the little black dress, a good pair of jeans in a few colors, white button down shirt, denim skirt long or short, denim jacket, one good long coat, a few sweater sets, tank tops, two or three blouses in white, red and black and a blazer in black.

Accessories you should have are gold and silver hoop earrings, pearl necklace and earrings, one or two scarfs, a shawl, black high boots, a few nice sandals, one pair of good black pumps, a pair of black or nude tights, one or two everyday handbags and one evening clutch.

Once you have the basics you can learn to play with accessories and mix and match to make endless outfits. Here are a few examples:

black dress pants red blouse with black blazer, black pumps everyday handbag, silver hoop earrings.

jeans, white button down shirt, denim jacket, silver hoops, handbag, pumps

khaki pants, black blouse, black pumps, gold hoop earrings

black a lined skirt, white blouse, black high boots silver hoops and scarf around neck

As you can see the matching is endless. With just a few basic items you can mix and match and have endless options. I do recommend that every season you buy one or two trend items to add in. This does not have to be a lot just one or two items and key colors. Accessories are a girls best friend and learning how to use them will help you look amazing for less!

How to Clean out Your Closets and Update Your Wardrobe

Now that we are in a new year it seems we are always needing to clean out our closets and drawers for clutter. With the new year upon us we should always start fresh with newly organized closets and dresser drawers. If you are living in a small space like I am and space is very limited learning to organize your closet and drawers is essential.

The first step in organizing your closet is to first clean it out, get rid of things that are hiding in corners or hanging on top of one another. The one year rule applies here meaning if you have not managed to squeeze into it or worn it in over a year get rid of it! I know it hurts especially if there is still a tag on it but trust me it must go. Even if you lose the 20 pounds needed to fit into it, you will want something new anyway once you drop the weight. Make three piles of stuff, throw out, donate and keep. Once you have delegated where your items go you can then start the real fun part.

Separate your items into fall, winter, summer and spring. If you are in the fall time you do not need your summer items taking up space in your closet especially if you have limited space. Buy some nice clear storage crates and neatly fold and store your out of season items.

You can arrange by color light to dark from left to right. Put all of your tops together and your pants together. This will help you to find your clothing items much quicker. Another thing you can do is organize your clothes by occasion, such as work clothes, workout, everyday and formal. Now your closet is looking great and organized with your winter and fall wardrobe.

Everything is easy and accessible for you to find. Another tip is to make sure your shoes and accessories are also organized by season and those not used stored away in boxes. This will help you to bring in the new season and also keep yourself well organized and ready for your day!

Hello everyone I have been busy working on some cool fun stuff at Puregoddess. I will talk about it in more detail once I have a few meetings. Awhile ago I sent some Puregoddess stuff to Imogen from Foxylocks Extensions and she did a review of her favorite products on her youtube channel. She pointed out in her video the bracelet we sent her and you can see her video here youtube video . So I am very excited and appreciate the mention. We also had our first very own article written in the San Francisco Examiner that you can see on another blog. We are getting the word out about our company so that is good.

I have some new designs that I am working on for the fall and may possibly do some new tanks for summer. I have a lot going on so just wanted to write a quick blog.

Dreaming of Christian Louboutin Shoes and Sunless Tanning!

Summer is here and I am ready for fruity drinks, cute summer outfits and sunless tans! I have had this love hate relationship with self tanners my whole life and never seem to win the battle of getting a great "self made" tan. I recently tried this product I got on HSN.com called Tan Towel.

I really like it and it is very easy to apply and dries very fast. The only downside is the fact that it goes on clear so you cannot see where you apply it. If you make a mistake you can simply reapply to the areas you missed. This tan goes great with your new summer wardrobe especially your Puregoddess Tank top or trucker hat!

ps. I have a new obsession for Christian Louboutin shoes.

I am in love with the ones in the picture and also the new nude platforms. If you have them do you love them? Are they comfortable? Anyways, I can dream about them at least and sip fruity summer drinks and look fab with my tan and Puregoddess Apparel!

The Gift of Freedom and Time

Life is all about experiences and the journey. I have been for the first time in a long time enjoying myself. I lost my job of eight years in July and I don't miss it lol. Sorry to tell you I have been relaxing, spending time with loved ones and even traveling. Yah I know I should be stressing, crying and submitting endless applications to the black hole known as monster but I don't. Instead I am taking my life one day at a time, stopping to smell the roses and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Sometimes I winch when I look at my bank account but I smile when I see I have no plans for today or tomorrow. It is nice to have time and freedom on your side if only for a short time. Time and freedom are the two things we seek but can never really own. So I want to tell you all to enjoy your quiet times of freedom and give yourself a break once in awhile. Life is fast moving and time waits for no one..:)

I consider being laid off a small gift of opportunity to make changes and to find some peace within myself. Reinvention and renewal are exciting and scary but worth it once in awhile. So I am looking at my situation with my rose colored glasses and taking it one moment at a time. I know I will have to turn to the work force again but I will go kicking and screaming! lol Just kidding dad! :)

I am very excited about our new Puregoddess pens! They are very chic in a nice hot pink and black pen barrel. It features a nice click top and also a very comfortable grip handle. The pen has blue ink and also features our Puregoddess name and our heart design. They sell for $2.00 each or get a pack of 4 for $5.00. Everyone who has one loves them!

We also have our new custom flyer that Troy designed! They look fabulous and very chic. I have posted some pics below so go check them out.

Hello everyone it has been awhile since my last post. Lot's of exciting things are happening here at Puregoddess. Our trademark was approved so now we own the name Puregoddess on all clothing and accessories! This is a huge milestone for us been a year and a half in the process.

We are busy designing for our spring collection. So stay tuned for that! There will be many more announcements over the next month or so. March we will be looking for new faces and models to represent Puregoddess so if you think you have what it takes, let us know. I will post model applications on the site shortly.

I am very excited for spring and cannot wait to add to our team and our product line. We are still looking to expand our team by adding new members in our marketing as well as Puregoddess Girls. So I will let you all know about those positions over the next month or so.

Our First Location to Sell Puregoddess Apparel!

I am so excited that now I have my first place to sell Puregoddess Apparel. It is at the Cheek2Cheek dance studio in Pacific Beach. Susan and Pierre the owners of the studio are great. So go check them out http://www.cheek2cheek.net/index.php.

Getting Ready for the Big Display on Friday

Well I have discovered that the Conair steamer is the greatest invention known to man! OMG I love this thing! I bought it off a guy on craigslist because I am too broke and on a budget to pay $99 for it. I got it for $30 bucks and it works great, I am so thrilled. I was able to steam clean around 45 shirts in about an hour. It ran out of steam on the last three so I get to do those in the morning yippee lol. I am amazed at how nice the shirts look now that they are all steamed. All I have to do in the morning is attach the price tags and then they are ready to go.

Tomorrow is an exciting day for me, since I will be setting up the very first Puregoddess display. Check2Check dance studio in Pacific Beach is the first place to sell Puregoddess T-shirts. I am really thrilled with this new venture and hope to add more locations very soon. We are doing a trial run so if it goes well than we will be there on a regular basis.

I can't help but fantasize about the day this all comes together and I have tons of stores and product! Right now I live with little fears but I do have hope. Hope that one day Puregoddess will be all that I want and believe it to be. I see so many great things for the future of Puregoddess.

We are the little apparel line that could! It takes one step at a time and one day at a time but we are doing it! We will get there so now we have our first store and it just doesn't get better than that. I will be posting pictures again on a new blog once the set up is completed.

Vegas in February

Hello everyone, we hope your new year is off to a good start. We will be going to Vegas in February to attend the Magic Fashion Convention. New Year New Exciting Opportunities

Hello everyone it is that time of year again where we say goodbye to the old and in with the new year. 2008 was a good year for Puregoddess professionally and personally. We made a lot of strides in the right direction in 2008. We found Tamara to be a part of our team, were featured in two fashion events and made two cute t-shirts that were a hit with our customers. 2009 we have a lot on the horizon more fashion events, more new designs, expansion into new products and a ton of new marketing events!

We hope 2009 will be a good year for Puregoddess and for all of our friends, family and valued customers.

The New Long Sleeve Logo Design

Hi everyone we have a new shirt design that we would like to share with all of you. We worked really hard on it our new Long Sleeve Logo T-shirt. The t-shirt was done with a nice gold foil on the sleeve and on the top right pocket of the shirt. I will have better pics of it soon and will have it up on the site to purchase.

Puregoddess's First Fashion Events

Well last weekend was a very busy one for us here at Puregoddess. We had two back to back events and spent the last three weeks preparing for it. The events were a very good practice run for us. We got to learn how to set up displays, how to run with heavy boxes and how the art of arriving early is a good thing! There were many mistakes, hot and tense moments but through it all I had a good time. Tamara was a major trooper and pretty much saved me on Friday.(I made her carry the heavy stuff lol but I ended up loading it up three flights of stairs on Sat.)

We didn't get the people or the sales that we hoped but did meet some really cool people and have a nice new shirt! We are happy this past weekned is over and are getting ready for Thanksgiving. I have uploaded some pics from the event.

Puregoddess's First Fashion Events This Weekend

We are so excited for the first ever Puregoddess Fashion Events to take place this weekend! We have been asked to be part of the Fashion Market Friday November the 14th in LaJolla. We will be at the LaJolla Prospect Bar and Lounge on Prospect Street. The event starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm. There will be food, drinks, music and over nine designers there showcasing their brands! The first 25 guests at the event will receive a gift bag. So come out shop, eat, drink, dance to music and come say hello to us!

New Fashion Event!

Puregoddess is happy to announce that we have been asked to be part of a new event. We will be part of the Fashion Market event on November 14th held at the Prospect Bar and Lounge in La Jolla. There will be twenty featured upcoming clothing lines on display. So come out and give us your support! Drinks and food will be served. More details will be given closer to the Event date. Don't forget we will also be a part of the Pink Party Cancer benefit on the 15th of November. So come out and shop for a good cause!

We have Added a New Member to Our Team

Hello everyone it has been awhile since my last blog but we have so many wonderful things in the works. First off we would like to tell everyone about our newest member of the Puregoddess team. Tamara Lee has joined the Puregoddess team as the assistant to the CEO. We are so happy and thrilled that she is working with us. Tamara beat out quite a few candidates for this position. Hi everyone I cannot believe that we are already into April. I have been very busy with school I just completed my Associates Degree last month and now I am onto the BA program for my CIS. Yes I am a programmer by day and a clothing line owner by night! lol. So with that said I am currently taking three classes and really enjoying them however leaves me tired but not out. Troy and I have been working on a few ideas for a new design or two and I have some other promising news. We will be unveiling the new Rhinestone designs of Puregoddess very soon! They look so good and they will be in time for summer. So now you can have your bling on! As any Puregoddess should have. Still working on the new shopping cart for Puregoddess but there are only so many hours of the day. I have a sneak peak at the Puregoddess new shirts coming very soon. Take a look! Hi everyone here we are alreay in the second week of March and heading full steam into spring. We here at Puregoddess have been super busy as of late. Right now our main focus is our very first fashion show on March the 4th to benefit the children's hospital. BIG NEWS FOR PUREGODDESS!!!!!!!!

Hi all I have some super great news!!! Puregoddess is going to be in our first fashion show! We are going to be part of a special event that is a benefit for children's hospital. We are so excited to be able to be a part of this event and to give back to charity as well. This is a great opportunity for us to be seen on a very large scale and of course i am very nervous. We have a lot to do to prepare for the event. So now Troy and I are working on a new design or two and looking for a new vendor for our special printing needs. Puregoddess will be the only casual clothing line at the event the rest are very upscale so I am nervous but this is for a good cause and a great chance for us to shine. So with a wing and a prayer we are preparing for this black tie charity event. They are providing models, music, lights and runway all we need is the product! So I will be keeping you all posted on the fashion show and the other one million things we are working on here at Puregoddess.

Hello everyone the holidays are upon us and now we have just a few days left to shop! We have added some new designs to our Puregoddess shop so be sure to go and check them out. Well I am so excited to report that Puregoddess has a hot new look thanks to the main man on campus Troy Sanders! Puregoddess is proud of the new partnership with Troy Sanders and n2zen. N2zen has helped to totally redesign the web presence of Purgoddess and it looks fabulous. We are so thrilled with our new art deco asian inspired header and logos. Puregoddess has so many fun and new things going on so please be sure to keep checking back on a daily basis for the updates.

Good things going on

Hi all I want to thank all of the people who have come to visit my site. It is really nice to see the number jump through the roof and I love to hear from you. We are still very much in the beginning stages here at Puregoddess but we need all of your tips and ideas. SO if you have any feed back good or bad please let us know. We are working hard to provide some really cool features to the site and will be unloading some of these changes in the next month or two. So be sure to stay tuned!!!
