Every fashionista I know is on a budget with the economy and financial hardships facing everyone this year. Still wanting to look your best is tough but not impossible. Learning to work with what you have, accessorize and shop for deals is all you need! The first thing you need to learn is how to be a fashionista in a recession environment. Confidence is the best thing you can slip into along with a great slimming A lined skirt, a good pair of pumps and a killer smile. Here are some tips to looking great without spending all your dough.

All women should have the basics of a good wardrobe in their closet. The basics include: black and khaki dress pants, an A lined black skirt, the little black dress, a good pair of jeans in a few colors, white button down shirt, denim skirt long or short, denim jacket, one good long coat, a few sweater sets, tank tops, two or three blouses in white, red and black and a blazer in black.

Accessories you should have are gold and silver hoop earrings, pearl necklace and earrings, one or two scarfs, a shawl, black high boots, a few nice sandals, one pair of good black pumps, a pair of black or nude tights, one or two everyday handbags and one evening clutch.

Once you have the basics you can learn to play with accessories and mix and match to make endless outfits. Here are a few examples:
